Sherry and Bob Phipps have been severing the educational toy and teaching material needs of Williamsburg, Virginia since 1991. The concept was Sherry’s, at that time the only way to purchase good educational toys and teaching materials was primarily by catalog. She wanted a store that you could pick up and inspect an item before you purchased it, a store that was child friendly and a store that helped you pair education to toys and toys to education. Hence School Crossing was opened in March of 1991. The philosophy of our business is “Discover how much fun learning can be”. Our Richmond, Virginia store was opened in 1996. In 2009 Lindsey Phipps, our daughter joined our team and is managing the Richmond store.
